MISERABLE !

I cant even imagine dropping mt toothbrush in the sink..uggh

door on the left is my bathroom,doors on the right lead to other peoples rooms

hanging air conditioner..real safe..just pop it out and come right in . Take what you want

NASTY BATHROOM ..dirty grout

How many people tried to break into this room

big stain on rug...someone was killed in this room for sure.

my shoes are staying on..even in bed

cigarette burns on the bathtub

Ok, I just dont know where to start complaining.or if i even have the right to but here it goes..you sitting?

I received a phone call from the hospital telling me that they were able to comp me 2 days at a hotel. They would send a car service to the Marriott and it would take me to the Vernon Manor. Ok, its free and the word Manor sounded so "high class/top notch"..

So I pack my suitcases and leave my penthouse at the Marriott...

We pull up to the entrance of the Vernon Manor and it has a pretty blue awning...with a big brass sign that said "Historic Hotel"...I should of known then to RUN! Historic is a nice way of saying run down/old.

Folks, I am not about brand names, I shop at walmart, I dont get my nails done, own 6 pairs of shoes and I clip coupons...but when I leave my home my rule is that where ever I go it must be better then what I am leaving behind. So at times I have champagne taste...I earned it, after 4 kids..

I check in at the lobby...lobby is nice..I push the button in the elevator...DING...5th floor..the doors opened and I just started to cry...

-The halls smelled like ethnic food..so bad that I cant get the smell off of my coat

- the doors to the rooms look like they have been painted 70 times

- the door handles..well I used my shirt to open the door..I wasnt gonna touch it...

-the room has that nasty polyester comforter and smells like ASS...

-I looked at the windows and they have a hanging window air conditioner...

-the rug has a big stain ..someone was definately killed in this room.Looks like an outlined body

-the tub has cigarette marks on it

-the sink has a nasty black ring

-the 1950 tiles in the bathroom has the nastiest grout I ever seen

-and the kicker is I have a hallway that leads to the bathroom..there are 2 doors on the right which are locked but lead to 2 other hotel rooms...

So in essence this "Manor" was at one time an apartment building that turned into a quote unquote hotel...

I LEFT MY PENTHOUSE AT THE MARRIOTT FOR THIS! Not even a down comforter...The pillows are stuffed with pencil shavings cause they smell like lead...

In shock, I drop everything and call a cab..I needed to buy diapers and I was told that a few miles away was a Walgreens...Cab shows up....and I was like "HELL NO". It was an old Impala that had its bumber tied to the headlight, 2 purple fuzzy dice hanging from the rear view mirror, the back door was a different color than the front door...the guy comes out, pants around his knees, boxers showing and a full mouth of gold teeth...He asked me.."You Be calling a cab my lady"...I shook my head vigorously..and replied "NOPE"...

This is why I dont mind paying $75 for a limo service...its all about safety ...but since I was in a pickle..I had to improvise

I strapped Myah in her stroller and I hit the streets. I will walk the few miles but I refuse to get in that cab..Not realizing that I am in the heart of the projects...I began to walk...and walk..I realized that Ohio doesnt have the same laws as Ny or Florida has ...They are allowed to keep couches and recliners on their lawns and porches and just hang out..The couches are all nasty from being rained and snowed on but they put tarps over them and they serve their purpose..

As I was walking I passed a house with a bunch of guys screaming "Hey pretty lady I'll be you next baby's daddy"..trying to ignore .."come on you already got a Chinese baby"..nose is flaring...I am trying to make my way through the amount of marijuana smoke without getting a contact "High" and hoping that Myah isnt stoned already.....I realized we weren't in Kansas anymore...

They yelled out some sexual comments and I kept walking..until Myah turns around waving and saying "Bye"...I yelled at her and told her to SHHHHHH.

I finally got to Walgreens...took 1 hour...I bought diapers and decided to walk the street parallel to the one I originally walked..took 1 1/2 hours to get back...

So the lesson here is ..If its not broke dont fix it...

I went from luxury to filth...

for all those following my steps here at Childrens hospital (and there are many) pay the extra money for the marriott...

I gave up my room and they are completely booked..So there's no going back...!

until then, I am miserable...I layered the floor with towels so we dont touch the rug, sprayed everything with Lysol, put our terry cloth robes over the pillows...AGGGGH..did I mention was miserable and not happy...

I am clicking my heels 3 times..I WANT TO GO HOME !
