So much in so little time...

Woke up this morning at 4am to find that her PICC that was put in her leg was not functioning properly. They were able to push fluids through but when they drew back on the syringe to get blood..well nothing came out..So we paged the surgical team at 4am to see what to do...

Until they decided mommy (who was 1/2 awake) played with her in bed..

decision was ..back to the OR...this was the plan ..once in the OR the surgeon would do what needed to be done but if he thought that her internal evaluation and incisions looked good then he would take her off TPN and she would be able to TRY and eat. Well thats all I had to hear..If she doesnt have a central line in then we would be ok to get discharged...preferably to any location that had a sealy posturpedic bed...

When Myah woke up from anesthesia ..well she wasnt happy...

We got back to the room and ordered food. Myah ate my tray and her tray of food. She went for the grits first and was double fisting her banana's...life was good in Myahland...

There's my angel....smiling again and happy...

I never packed so fast in my life...here we are waiting for car service...

Came to the Marriott and there weren't ant rooms ready for us to check in..so they upgraded us to the duluxe penthouse...with conference room..AAAAHHHH and the bed....we didnt care what time it was..we were going to bed...

Queen Myah didnt wait...
We go back into the hospital on Wednesday..Until then we are living large....
ps...I had massive amounts of balloons and flowers that our friends and family sent..So Myah and I walked around and passed them out to the children we left behind..It was nice to see the smiles on their faces....Paying it forward...

You BOTH DESERVE that penthouse! The picture of Myah smiling is absolutely precious. She seems so strong and resilient. Prayers for good rest are being sent to you both tonight!

WHAT THE HECK??? Oh my. The difference a day makes, huh?

I'm delighted that you are OUT for a while.

Did my card ever arrive at the hospital for you. It has a trashy Starbucks gift card in it. Just wanna be sure it finds you at some point.

Hugs and smoochies,
Vicki

You are one brave mama to discharge yourself and head out to the best hotel!! Did you really do that? I love the photos of Myah decked out in the big bed looking like she was born to the role of Empress. Nice going!!!

Elizabeth...I really did do that. After 3 weeks , I had it and if my child is just going to be sitting in a bed with no central line in then ...guess what I can sit in a bed at the Marriott..Things need to make sense to me...

Again, I made no friends here in Cincy!
