I took her to the 6th floor toddler playroom. We had so much fun...!
She refused to smile but I knew she was happy...
The funny thing was she played with every toy that her brothers have at home. She played with cars and trains...She steered clear of the girly things..Devon, she even played pool..wonder where she got that idea from...
We are waiting on the OR to call us for her PICC line and IV line...more later...
ps...
I just wanted to clear the air, here I go reflecting...this hospital is the BEST place for us to be..I know that ...I would just like to see a medical plan in place for these adopted children. There are so many psychological issues, trust issues and attachment issues that come into play..Every child is different , so there can not be a "standard" way of doing things...

Checking in often
Rina - I've contacted Margie at MississippiZen blogspot. She posted on another one of your entries. I believe she could help you. I know you have TOO much to do right now, but I have her phone number(s) at any time you might want to contact her. She's a real deal...w/common concerns for her little darling.
Just thought I'd throw that in. Not telling you what to do, who to talk with, etc. Thinking out loud.
Got a little "happy" in the mail to ya. Coming your way....to Ohio.
Would love to have followed it all the way myself.
Hugs,
Vicki
Sorry to double post, BUT...
Emily was looking at the blog w/me for a moment (not ALL the pics...escpecially the one w/incision -- BLESS Myah's heart).
When she saw the pic on the left of Myah w/her POOH shirt on, Emily said that "Chew Vee" had that shirt in China. Shall I assume this is the truth?
I tell ya. Emily forgets nothing.
Hello Rina,
I am here to let you know that I will be praying for Myah and you while you are here in Cincinnati, my home as well. We know Children's very well, my 3 year old had surgery in Dec. there and they were awesome. I too had to let my "mama instincts" be used and I applaud you for knowing when to step in for you little daughter. My daughter did not need a PIC IV, but she did have one in her hand and she cried and cried over it hurting. After two days I finally told them to take it out and find another location for it.
Anyway, I am about 25 minutes from where you are and if you ever feel the need to a visitor or break or something, I would be more than happy to take a drive. Did they tell you about the dinner cards so you can order your meals with her? Hope you have a good day today and Myah is pain free.
So glad you had a break, and a much deserved play date...I'll be praying that the next IV episode will go easily and pain free. The boys, especially Noah and Ryan have been remembering Myah in their nightly prayers.
Genie
Rina,
There is an International Adoption Center at Children's Hospital,
http://www.cincinnatichildrens.org/svc/alpha/i/int-adopt/default.htm
Dr. Mary Staat is very experienced and MIGHT be of some assitance with your needs - I don't know. It might help knowing that Children's does have people are are experienced in international adoption. :-)
Nancy Ann in Northern KY (20 minutes away)
