After going back to the hospital for more poking and probing...we came back to the RMH for some much needed down time. We are surrounded by people from all over the world..As I sit back and look around...well it puts things into perspective..Our issues seem like a small drop in the bucket. We shared stories, we cried , we laughed..the kids showed off their scars and gave each other rides on their motorized wheelchairs...and for one moment, there was a sense of normalcy...until some child screams for a morhine drip cause the pain is so intense...
This is Alexandra, Marco and their son Matti. they are from Italy and dont speak the language. Their son has the exact medical issues that Myah have..We shared a quiet dinner together and exchanged stories and advise.
This is Taylor...she has had 4 organ transplants and is waiting for a kidney. She has been at the Ronald McDonald house for 3 years....waiting.....
Myah befriended this girl initially because she had a flashy phone..and Myah is all about playing with phones and camera's..but then she noticed the girl had thinning hair...Myah ran back to the room and started putting hair clips in her hair..it surely did lift her spirits...She is on dialysis
