Pay it Forward...

This post is for my boys...

You remember what happened when we went to Disney and the manager of Pizza Uno found out we were a Make a Wish Foundation family? He gave us pizza for free...and when we pulled out of the parking lot we saw a man who had a sign that said "Hungry"...and daddy rolled down the window and gave him our food....and remember how we discussed that the manager didnt know how far his kindness went. well something else happened similiar to that...

Tonight as I got all settled in at the Marriott my phone rang...It was the Ronald McDonald House asking us if we would like to stay at their facility. I thought to myself that it would be a better environment for Myah since there are other kids and a playroom/activities...So I packed up everything...I was so mad I didnt even get a chance to sleep in the posturepedic bed..Grrr

I went to check out and they ended up charging me for the night even though I just checked in 2 hours prior...I caught a shuttle with all my luggage and went to Ronald's House. As I was checking in a woman walked in with her husband and child. They wanted to put their name on the wait list. They were informed that the wait was at least 3 weeks out...They asked where they can stay for cheap. But all the places they mentioned were at least $120 a night...they couldnt afford it...

Well I was thinking.....I just had to pay for a room at the Marriott and I am not staying in it..So I called the Marriott and spoke with the manager and explained to him the situation and if they can take my place....He said he doesnt care who sleeps in the room ..its paid for...

But then I was thinking , I receive the Associate rate at the Marriott and was wondering if they would give them that rate...I wanted to transfer over my discount....

Fast forward....The couple is enjoying my sealy posturpedic bed with continental breakfast...and a rate that you couldnt get at a Hotel 6 (and they leave the light on )

Lesson is ...Someone gifted me a blessing with reduced hotel rates not knowing how far that blessing went..it actually blessed another family....
