Ok,
This week we have been extremely busy. We got back and went straight to the pediatricians. Dr. Wicina gave her a complete physical. They removed 2 hard black rocks out of her ear..We believe it was bloody wax. She had to pick it out, which was painful..she cried...
She also had us take her for blood work. They took 5 vials of blood. they are testing for everything possible..lead, Hpylori, HIV,Hep..just to name a few.
We are going to St. Mary's Children's Hospital today where she will have several ultrasounds and xrays done...
We are experiencing some bonding issues that we are addressing. Myah has a comfort zone with men. She wants to be held by every and any man. Not so much women. So we spoke to our family therapist and we are being directed to have only mom and dad hold her, feed her and change diapers.
As strange as it may seem, adopted children who act very outgoing and affectionate is not a healthy thing. It is called "indiscriminate affection" and could mean that they really haven't attached to anyone. So we are going to change how others react to her wants and teach her that the only 2 people right now that will tend to her is mom and dad...with hopes of creating a tighter bond. She is very attached to me. I cant leave the room without her searching for me. But we are very concerned about her comfort zone with male strangers.
I will post a bunch of pictures today and catch you all up on her living at home.

Poor Little Thing--I feel for her, all these tests and poking and proding--but it is all necessary and needs to be done. It seems like there is so much more involved when you get home and into a routine--I guess its all not so black and white. Keep us posted and can't ait to see some more pictures:)

Thanks for keeping us informed. I know it's been a wild week. I may call you on the cell phone tonight or tomorrow night so when you see a 601 # show up...it's your friendly southern bulldozer calling. (Not offended if you don't answer. Ha.)
We'll chat more.
48 hours and counting...
Luv, Vicki
