I am a firm believer that we need pay it forward. For the past few Thanksgiving Hank and I have been loading the boys in the van and passing out 500 Thanksgiving Day meals...This year it had a little bit more meaning..Myah joined in too...
This year we loaded the meals in our van, in the trunk, on the floor and on our laps...We went through a trailer park community where most dont have running water or electricity. The trailers are run down. But these families wait for us to come by and pass out food. Every single family thanked God for our arrival. The smiles on the childrens faces were priceless. 500 families were fed!
Devon was taken back this year. There was a trailer that we pulled up to had a few boys waiting for food. Devon recognized 1 kid from his class. It broke his heart. He asked me if it was ok to duck..he didnt want the boy to be embarrassed...I thought that was a very thoughtful act on a 7 yr old.
Myah loved handing meals out her window and was very quick to say Bye-bye when they took the food. It felt good to help our community and have my children understand the meaning of Thanksgiving...but it felt better to pay it forward...
ps...Myah and I wont be flying to Cincinatti;s Childrens hospital for her 3 surgeries until January 26th. Her UTI is still bad..they changed her antibiotics with hope of getting her infection under control...Fingers crossed..xoxo

WOW! What a wonderful way to spend the Thanksgiving Day!!! I hope Myah gets better soon but now you get to be home with the boys for their holiday things!
Cuzz, your actions speak louder than words can ever describe. The power of "paying it forward" yet just a few words, seem to make the strongest of man the hardest thing to action. We all hope and pray for Myah's procedures to be quick and the the road to recovery short.
We send our love and best wishes with all our hearts to you, Hank, The Cool Dudes, and the Lil' Princess.
