No Tolerance!

Ok, those who know me know that I dont mence my words..Infact, my mother always told me that I wont get myself in trouble if I just keep my mouth shut. I should of taken my mothers advise this morning...

Our Nephrologist had a scheduled appt. with us on wednesday...I trudged through snow to make the appt and after an hour of sitting I was told that he would not make it because of the snow...Ok, my nose started to flare just a little...He rescheduled for Thursday...I show up for that appt and he was doubled booked becaus he missed all his appts from wednesday thatI got shafted...Ok....nose is still flaring...They rescheduled me for this morning at 7am...I questioned that time and asked if it could be later because hospital transport doesnt start until 8am...I was told no because he is making an exception and making me his 1st patient...

Ok, so I get me and my child up this morning at 5am..get ready and call for car service...I show up at 6:40am...I waited until 8:15....The nurse comes out and tells me that he is going to be late..he was still at home...

This is where I should of shut my mouth...I went off! I told her to call that doctor back and tell him that just because he wears a white coat that it doesnt make his time any more valuable than mine...that if he needs to see my daughter before her scheduled surgery that he can hunt me down..other wise he can just wing it in surgery and look like an ass in front of his colleagues by not knowing the case! AND, (did you think I was finished) he owes me money for the car serviceI had to pay for to get to the hospital for a non-existing appointment...!

I left and walked down to OR where she had another procedure booked...Did I mention we were not allowed to eat or drink for any of these appointments....Grrrrr

She was going under sedation for this one..They wanted Myah to get in a robe but she wouldnt have it.She was so darn cute that the doctor said that he would put her under and then undress her into a robe...and before she woke up they will dress her...

They allowed me to come in and hold her while they put a gas mask on to put her to sleep..After she was out they put an IV in and gave her profanol anesthesia via IV...

as I was sitting in recovery I heard my name paged ...they told me to go to the nearest red phone...so I did and it was the hospital director..He apologized for any issues that happened earlier..I made nice nice and apologized for my loose tongue...

We were later met by a social worker that gave Myah some gifts..A Curious George stuffed animal, crayons, coloring book, meal tickets and a handmade blanket from the volunteers...

I eventually met up with the doctor that was a no show and we both looked at each other...eyeing each other down..I was waiting for an apology and I guess he was waiting for me to smile..neither of us gave an inch...He must be a Gemini too! I took a picture of Myah standing next to a chalk board...On the chalk board it had the doctors schedule written out..I erased it..ALL OF IT....I figured it didnt apply....I wrote my own message....That'll learn him...
