My Family

I look at this picture ..just taken a few weeks ago from my friend Laura.. things were at a slower pace..not a worry in sight...amazing how we got a jolt that quickly set us into a tizzy and created chaos . My boys are shuffled around, my husband not being able to work so we can take shifts, the dog left alone at home and Myah at the grace of the hands of her doctors..and our journey is just beginning.

My son asked me tonight over the phone if we were celebrating Christmas..I answered "of course"...he replied "then why havent you decorated or put up the tree"...
It dawned on me that I need to try to find a way to get that done..so my kids (at home) do not miss out on this years holiday..that I keep some sort of normalcy for them...

My son called me later and said.."mom I lost a tooth"...Jeez I missed it..I am missing everything..so focused on my need here with Myah and totally neglecting the boys. I know they understand but that excuse only goes so far..I feel so torn..missing class parties, class centre and they missed their after school Hip Hop classes...Life for them just STOPPED...but how can I be in 2 different places...40 minutes away from home..

I miss my family, I miss telling them to go to bed a gazillion times at night, I miss finding cookie crumbs on the table and filling juice cups a trillion times...
Hoping I can save this holiday for the sake of my kids...
