Ok, so Delta put us in a hotel last night and we were so excited to fall asleep...we were beat...and we knew that the sooner we fall asleep the sooner morning would come and we go home...Just as we were about to enter DREAM land this horrible blaring music started vibrating the walls...I mean we were able to feel the beating in our chest.
I call down at the front desk and I come to find out our room was directly over the Banquet Hall...and Friday nights happened to be POLKA DANCING...ARE YOU FRIGGEN KIDDING ME? I mean poke a fork in me , I am DONE. They had at least 5 or six tuba players...I am to tears at this point. They offered me another room but I didnt have the energy to move a muscle...
Regardless, I finally fell asleep at 4 am and woke up at 6 am knowing all the words/lyrics to "Beer Barrell Polka"...I can officially say I HATE folk music....
Myah was all smiles getting onthe shuttle this morning
and ran as fast as her little Asian legs would let her into the arms of her family
I was a crying mess...Trying to savour the moment and trying to ignore the fact that Mitchells shorts were on backwards
All in all, I am seriously impressed with how Hank held down the fort with a wounded foot that happens to be in the ugliest blue boot. He stepped up to the plate and hit a home run in my book.
And my parents are always doing more than their share..they took the kids bowling, shoppingfor toys, ice cream, drove them to school ect...Thank you !
My heart is skipping a beat and I am loving my life today...Obstacles we have, the unknown lerks in the background but we are smiling and pushing forward....
Thanks for holding us up when we were not able to stand...Thanks for those who came forward and took the financial burden off of us and made donations and payed it forward....
I too payed it forward to other families..whether it was to pay for their hotel stay or give up a seat on the plane....things come full circle my friends....

Pictures worth thousands of words!! You have brought tears to my eyes, too! So glad your family is reunited!
OK, maybe your flight home wasn't as bad as ours. Our flight was delayed 2 hrs. leaving Cincy, then we had a 5 hour layover in DC because we had missed our earlier connection. I got an extreme case of diarrhea and feeling sick when we got to DC. We finally got home at 2 am - big difference from 6:30 pm. Of course, Abby's laxative was on the plane and we had to make adjustments when we got home. I started throwing up about 3 and finally got to sleep about 4. Abby came in our room about 6:30 saying the Sun's up!
Alessandra was so moved by your card and gift, she started crying. They were so ready to go home. I love the pictures of Abby and Mirah.
Let's keep in touch.
