I look at Myah today..her little round face so dear and precious. Her eyes - eyes so different from mine -almond shaped..
The face of her birth mother looks out at me. The eyes of a young woman and I know these are the features my daughter inherited from her birth mother - eyes that tilt up at the corners, and rosy, plump little cheeks that I can't stop kissing. I am blessed to be her mom. She fills me with so much joy that my heart actually hurts. Her birth mom was a woman who embraced the concept that she could give her child something no one else ever could: a better life than she had.
I reach out and hold her with more than just my arms. I hold her with love for not only myself, but for the beautiful and courageous woman who chose to give birth to my daughter, and then chose again to give her to me. I carry the love from both of us...the birth mother with the courage to share, and the woman whose empty arms were filled with love...for the heartbeat that we share is one.

I had such fun watching you and Emily get your "spa work-over" in Orlando and I saw how you (both)loved it.
One of the highlights of this past year was getting to meet you ... AND your super-dupper family. Those were/are wonderful memories. I am SO GLAD I got to hold your hand and play with you and get to see that BEAUTIFUL SMILE.
I wish we could all have been there to help you celebrate your big day but we blew you bunches and bunches of kisses across the miles...from our hearts to yours. Happy 4th Birthday, Sweetie. And LOTS OF LOVE from your "Mississippi Family.
