TESTING, TESTING , TESTING

Well we got through today...We got up this morning to find out that there was no ground transportation at all....There were few van companies working...My hotel was able to get one for me...Phew...I was about to walk 8 blocks...

we get to the hospital and registered...We started with basic testing..renal ultrasound, bladder ultrasound...ect

We moved onto the tougher testing...bloodwork...I never went to the boys vaccination appointments...I would either send Hank or my mom..I know it sounds silly but I simply cant see someone in pain...I get all nervous, by palms start sweating, knees are knocking...before you know it the nurse is giving me the lollipop....

So today was a first for both Myah and I...I had to do it..It didnt go well..especially when I started crying before Myah....They got the needle in but the vein blew out..so they opted to prick her finger 3 times and squeeze blood from there..took forever...and it also took 3 techs..
We both walked out with stickers for being so good...Mine was Blues Clues hers was Snow White!

we moved over to urology....this one was the pits...very invasive...they did a VCUG which was not fun...catherizing her took about 1 hour..which led to her screaming and throwing up...we then did Nuclear Study which was also done by injection in her hand , a renal cortical scan, cyctogram test, formal urodynamic test and a rectal contrast enema....

She was probed from every end possible...we left the hospital exhausted and hungry..I picked up some soup and managed to hitch a ride with the hospital security guard...

We are back in the room and going to take a nap...

We have 1 day under our belt....I must say, I am not sure if we are ready for tomorrow...!

Rina,Welcome to Ohio. I am sure you two are probably freezing here. I live in the top of the state, and we have 2 foot of snow here. I did live in Cincinnati for a while and my advise is I wouldn't walk around down in that part of the city. I will keep you and Myah in my prayers that everything goes well.

I feel so sorry for the both of you--Myah for haning to endure all of the poking and proding and you for having to watch her:( I am sorry! We are praying for you and know in our hearts that everything will be great--this is just a long and rough road...hang in there.

Love to you both....

Oh, Rina ... Your post was hard to read and the pictures of poor Myah harder to look at. You know, it's hard enough to feel like a helpless Mother when you can't make your child's pain go away, but to have to sit by and allow it to happen is far worse! I truly believe you are stronger than what you give yourself credit for. And Myah ... well, she's a warrior. She's in good hands! Hang in there! In the mean time, my prayers continue to be with your whole family.
